Notes about the German versions of this volume:
1st edition 1959. Reprinted 1969, 1977, and 1984. The contents were first printed in periodicals between 1931 and 1940. Based on a stenographic reconstruction probably produced by Hedda Hummel. The original stenogram is no longer extant. The flow of the text was improved and expanded based on a comparison of the stenographic reconstruction with several sets of participant notes. The original blackboard drawings have not survived. The illustratios are based on participant notes.
