Notes about the German versions of this volume:
1st edition, 1926. 2nd revised edition 1983. 3rd further revised edition published 1997. Stenographically recorded by Hedda Hummel, the text is based on her initital typed reconstruction. Hummel's original stenogram is no longer extant. The 1983 edition makes emendations based on the additional unofficial stenograms of two participants (one by Karl Schubert, the other by Eugene Kolisko). While their stenograms were far from complete, they do record word for word important passages, which allowed the correction of several questionable passages. The Archive needed to find experts in the Gabelsberg system to decipher the additional stenograms, but it turned out to be worth the effort.
