Notes about the German versions of this volume:
30 Separate Volumes. While lecturing Steiner would often make drawings on a blackboard. Beginning around 1920 his listeners began taping black paper over the chalkboard and then saving the resulting drawings for posterity. These languished in the archive for decades, occasionally used as reference material for pen and ink drawings to accompany the relevant lectures in the printed versions. In 1992 a selection was curated and displayed as an art exhibit, which over the following years toured the world. That and advances in color printing lead to the publication of all the drawings over 30 volumes (averaging about 60 pages each). They are available individually or as a set.
